Steelers fans can welcome their newest acquisition Steely McBeam. He is not a first round draft pick, but the new official team mascot. After more than 70,000 fan entries Steely McBeam was the winner. Their last mascot was Stevie Steeler. Honestly, the organization should have considered another 70,000 names because Steely McBeam just does not cut it for Pittsburgh. How many Irish people actually live in Pittsburgh to warrant the name McBeam. Steely's jaw is a giant replica of their former coach Bill Cowher. I think they should have just reused the name Stevie Steeler. Steelers fan enjoy your new mascot.
