Major League starring BATMAN is a featurette by the one and only Jason Zomick, as Batman. If you have time today please watch his quick clip and vote for his video at http://www.myvu15seconds.com/ . This video takes places after the SOX won the world series and shows how Batman really feels about some of the players. Since he lives in Boston it would be nice to grant this super hero a walk-on role in the major motion picture 4Chosen plus a trip to NYC. While Batman has been famous for years its time to share some of that light with our red headed friend ( Voting ends today at 5PM EST).
Sunday November 4th marks the 37th New York City Marathon. But even before this event begins New York is hosting the Men's 2008 Olympic Trials in Central Park. While a select few will have a chance to run in Beijing the rest of the world is invited to run on Sunday, in the NYC Marathon. Last year was a record breaking year and produced that largest ever marathon in history. 2007 has a few thousand less applicants than 2006, but could still have more people participate in the race. Millions will watch the runners race through all five boroughs of New York City, and it will end in Central Park. I will try an watch the race around mile marker 14, which is in Long Island City. While I know very little
about professional running I am going with Rogers Rop to win this race. Rop, is the only athlete to win both the NYC and Boston Marathon in the same year (2002), and he recorded his best marathon time this year. He is one Kenyan Policeman I would not try to outrun. This past weekend I took a trip to visit friends in Boston. On the way up I took Greyhound for $27 and made it to South Station in a little over 5 hours. Luckily I had a good seat-mate and the trip seemed fairly quick. We also had a movie playing, but I did not pay much attention because I had a book and my ipod. Anyway, I left the bus a satisfied customer and I wondered how the Chinatown Bus could be that different. I have heard a lot of stories about the Chinatown Bus, and how I should fear for my life while traveling on it. However, I wanted to experience the trip for myself and took the Fung Wah (Chinatown) Bus back to NY for only $15. From the moment I purchased the ticket I questioned my decision. I received an e-ticket that looked like it was an email typed by a person and not processed by any system. I had to sign the ticket, which could have been a waiver for my life. Furthermore, when we got to the South Station they said there was A 4:45 bus, which was not listed on their website. This went along with the assumption that they just make times up as the day goes along and
buses fill up. When the bus pulled up to the door it was already filled people and I was unable to sit with my friend. As long as we got home safe, there was really no problem. Compared to Greyhound the seats were slightly smaller. The quality of the bus was also lower. However, for the $15 I spent on the ticket I can not really complain about the trip. I think it is worth a little extra for Greyhound, but Fung Wah really is not all that bad. I was told that Greyhound has specials for $30 roundtrip from Boston to New York, and if that were always the case I would suggest Greyhound. Since I live closer to midtown I think that I am going to stick to Greyhound from now on. And now, thanks for my friend Vivian, I know where to get Greyhound tickets for the same price.
