I recently purchased and watched the Air Guitar Nation, which is the closest thing to a rockumentary since Spinal Tap.  The film focuses it story on the path of US contests to their first worldwide Air Guitar Competition, help in Oulu Finland.  The competition started in 1996 and has grown in recent years.  I do not want to spoil the 2003 air guitar results for you, but I will let you know that C-Diddy did return to Oulu in 2004 and placed 3rd.  Since then rockers like Bjorn to Rock, Hot Lixx Hulahan and Willie Ocean have continued the US Air Guitar legacy.  Across the US Air Guitars shows have sold out, including NYC, Boston, Cleveland, San Fransisco, and Los Angeles.  Next summer when this tour hits NY I am going to try and remember about this wonderful sport and check it out for myself.  For more information on Air Guitar check out the usairguitar.com and the world guitar championship homepage
