Facebook Valued at $15 Billion
Thanks to Microsoft, Facebook is now valued at $15 Billion. Microsoft bought a 1.6% stake in the social networking site for $240 million. Mark Zuckerberg, the company's founder, has recently been critized for not taking offers from Google, yahoo, and other competitive bids, which would have all made him a multi millionaire. I think he understands the potential of his website and the ad revenue that over 40 million subscribers can bring. With the recent addition of application, users can spend hours on the site. I know I have been spending more time surfing around facebook thanks to a new scrabble application, which may have legal problems with the makers of the board game.
Anyway, I am looking forward to when this baby goes IPO. I have never invested in an individual stock, but if I can get my hands on this IPO I will sure try. When are investors going to start contact me about hagel.vox.com? I remember seeing Zuckerberg on the cover of Fast Company, but did he get his own personalized cover of Wired?
