4th Annual Tiger Singapore Chili Crab Festival
As I sat at my desk trying to study for the CPA exam I heard drums and other kinds of foreign music. I looked out my window to see dancing dragons and crowds of people. I decided that instead of going to my usual deli for Sunday lunch I would see what was cooking down the street. It just so happened to be the 4th Annual Singapore Chili Crab Festival, sponsored by Tiger Beer. I first tried a delicious soft shell crab hand roll and then got an order of the Chili Crab. While the sushi went right down it was very difficult for me to eat the chili crab. In fact, I had to stop eating after I cut my thumb on a piece of the shell. It really was not worth all the effort for the little bit of meat inside. I ended up bringing some home for my roommate and got a small sandwich at the deli. The food was prepared by a local restaurant, Riverview Restaurant & Lounge. Who knew Long Island City was so cultural?
